Brad Childress did a great job in his second season for the Minnesota Vikings

All the Vikings need is a legit QB to be a playoff team.  Coach Childress saw the Vikings improve to 8-8 on the season as they missed the Wild Card in the NFC by one game.  The Vikings ran the ball effectively and they played good defense against the run.  If they can get a pass rusher on defense their secondary will improve because they have playmakers in the back of the defense.  Still, they can’t hold coverage forever.  Coach Childress has been in Minnesota for two seasons and he has compiled a 14-18 (.438 %) record.
