Denver Broncos 22, Minnesota Vikings 19 in OT
The Vikings gave a great effort in the game on Sunday in Denver but they just fell a tad short. Tarvaris Jackson had a solid game as he completed 16 of 31 passes for 175 yards with 2 TD passes. He also rushed for 36 yards on 4 carries (9.0 ypc) and he scored 2 2-point conversions in the 4th quarter to help send the game into OT. Chester Taylor led the Vikings in rushing with 83 yards on 10 carries (8.3 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 9 yards. Adrian Peterson didn’t play as well as Taylor as he carried the ball 11 times for 36 yards (3.3 ypc). Bobby Wade had an outstanding game at receiver as he caught 5 passes for 92 yards (18.4 avg) with 2 TD grabs. The Vikings finished up with 172 yards rushing on 27 carries (6.4 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 31 passes for 160 yards.
The defense was led by Kenechi Udeze, Darren Sharper and E.J. Henderson who each had 8 tackles apiece. The Broncos finished up with 128 yards rushing on 27 carries (4.7 ypc) and they also completed 26 of 37 passes for 234 yards.
