The Vikings fell behind 22-0 at the half and they couldn’t rebound.  Travaris Jackson completed 25 of 41 passes for 220 yards with 1 TD pass and 2 interceptions.  He also carried the ball 8 times for 44 yards (5.5 ypc) with 2 TD runs.  Adrian Peterson had a rough time as he carried the ball 9 times for 27 yards (3.0 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 21 yards (10.5 avg).  Chester Taylor didn’t do much either as he carried the ball 6 times for 14 yards (2.3 ypc) and he also caught 5 passes for 42 yards (8.4 avg).  Robert Ferguson led the Vikings in receiving yards with 51 on 4 catches (12.8 avg).  The Vikings finished up with 87 yards rushing on 25 carries (3.5 ypc) and they also completed 25 of 41 passes for 212 yards.

Chad Greenway led the Vikings defense with 11 tackles.  The Redskins finished up with 106 yards rushing on 32 carries (3.3 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 30 passes for 261 yards.

Minnesota Vikings 20, Chicago Bears 13

The Vikings offense overcame turnovers to win this game as the defense was outstanding for the Vikings.  Tarvaris Jackson had a tough night as he completed 18 of 29 passes for 249 yards with 3 interceptions.  He also carried the ball 7 times for 25 yards (3.6 ypc) and he also lost a fumble.  Adrian Peterson led the way in the running game for the Vikings with 78 yards rushing on 20 carries (3.9 ypc) with 2 TD runs.  Chester Taylor pitched in with 31 yards rushing on 6 carries (5.2 ypc).  Robert Ferguson (2 rec, 79 yards) and Bobby Wade (6 rec, 70 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Vikings.  The Vikings finished with 136 yards rushing on 34 carries (4.0 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 29 passes for 236 yards.

The Vikings Defense was led by E.J. Henderson (7 tackles) and Antoine Winfield (6 tackles).  The Vikings held the Bears to 32 yards rushing on 17 carries (1.9 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 38 passes for 177 yards.

Minnesota Vikings 27, San Francisco 49ers 7

The Vikings rushed out to a 27-0 halftime lead and then they cruised to a easy victory which improved their record to 7-6 on the season.  Tavaris Jackson had another solid game as he completed 16 of 25 passes for 163 yards with a TD pass.  He also carried the ball 9 times for 13 yards (1.4 ypc).  Adrian Peterson had by far his worst game as a pro as he only rushed for 3 yards on 14 carries (0.2 ypc).  But, Chester Taylor stepped up as he carried the ball 8 times for 101 yards (12.6 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 3 passes for 23 yards (7.7 avg).  Robert Ferguson led the way for the Vikings in receiving with 4 grabs for 57 yards (14.3 avg) with a TD catch.  The Vikings finished up this game with 117 yards rushing on 31 carries (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 25 passes for 163 yards.

Linebacker Chad Greenway led the Vikings in tackles with 13.  But, it was LB E.J. Henderson (4 tackles, 2 fumble recoveries) and DT Pat Williams (5 tackles, interception, sack) made the game altering plays in this game.  The 49ers finished up with 73 yards rushing on 20 carries (3.7 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 47 passes for 211 yards.

The Minnesota Vikings lose a couple of defensive ends for the season

The Vikings have lost Ray Edwards (NFL 4-game suspension for using steroids) and Erasmus James (tore same ACL he injured last season) for the rest of the regular season (James the whole season).  Edwards played in 12 games this season for the Vikings and he made 30 tackles, had 5 sacks and defended 2 passes.  James only played in 6 games this season and he made 7 tackles and had one sack.  Rookie DE Brian Robison will take over in the starting lineup for the Vikings.  He has played in 12 games this season and he has 13 tackles, 4.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

The Vikings totally dominated this football game.  Tavaris Jackson had probably his best game of the season as he completed 18 of 24 passes for 204 yards with 2 TD passes and a interception.  He also carried the football 5 times for 20 yards (4.0 ypc).  Adrian Peterson returned to the starting lineup and it appeared as if he never left as he carried the ball 15 times for 116 yards (7.7 ypc) with 2 TD runs.  Chester Taylor also had a solid game with 14 carries for 70 yards (5.0 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 2 passes for 17 yards.  Sidney Rice (5 rec, 53 yards) and Bobby Wade (4 rec, 54 yards) each caught a TD pass.  But, it was Aundrae Allison was the star as he caught 2 passes for 52 yards and he also returned 3 kickoffs for 143 yards (47.7 avg) including a 103-yarder for a TD.  The Vikings finished up with 216 yards rushing on 39 carries (5.5 ypc) and they also completed 19 of 26 passes for 227 yards.

The Vikings defense was led by rookie corner Marcus McCauley with 8 tackles.  The Lions finished up with 23 yards rushing on 7 carries (3.3 ypc) and they also completed 27 of 36 passes for 231 yards.
