The Minnesota Vikings should blow up the QB position in the off-season

The Vikings can’t possibly be happy with any of their starting QBs given the solid running game the team has.  With the Vikings averaging 173.3 yards rushing per game and 5.6 ypc and often facing 8 and 9 man fronts….yet none of the QBs have taken advantage of it.  Tavaris Jackson is the starter and he’s only really had one good game this whole season….and it was last week.  Jackson has completed 78 of 144 passes (54.2%) for 900 yards with 3 TD passes and 6 interceptions (62.8 QB Rating) so far this season.  Jackson has also carried the ball 21 times for 122 yards (5.8 ypc) with a TD run.  Kelly Holcomb is the #2 QB on the Vikings and he hasn’t shown much.  Holcomb has completed 42 of 83 passes (50.6%) for 515 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 interception (73.1 QB Rating).  Brooks Bollinger has probably played the best of any Vikings QB this season but that’s not saying much.  Bollinger has completed 33 of 50 passes (66%) for 391 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 interception (88.0 QB Rating) so far this season.  Look for the Vikings to make a move for a QB like Donovan McNabb in the off-season.

I think you have to give Jackson a bitmore time. I agree there needs to be more leadership from the QB position and a quarterback that can throw 325 yard a game when the time calls for it, but lets wait and see what happens the rest of the season to see if the last two games were just a fluke.
