Chad Greenway (1, OLB)
Chad Greenway is an interesting player. He should be able to start from Day #1 for the Vikings. Greenway is very active and can make tackles all over the field because he has the speed of a receiver (4.45 40). In the last three seasons at Iowa he has played in 37 games (35 starts) and has made 401 tackles, 29 tackles for a loss, 7 sacks, has broken up 20 passes and intercepted four passes.
Now the negatives. Greenway slipped to the Vikings because of his lack of strength despite having decent size (6′2″, 243). He doesn’t always take good angles and winds up trying to drag runners down instead of driving through them, causing him to miss some tackles or letting them get extra yards before finishing them off.
Greenway needs the defensive line to protect him. If they do Greenway will help the Vikings for a long time.
